At Avior Geospatial, we employ a variety of advanced data acquisition platforms to deliver comprehensive, cost-effective solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of our clients. Below are key platforms we utilize:
Fixed-Wing Aircraft Platforms for Large-Scale Mapping
Our fixed-wing aircraft platforms are optimized for large-scale wide-area mapping and linear projects, such as highways, pipelines, and powerlines. These platforms ensure high data collection rates and efficiency, providing quick and reliable coverage across vast regions. Equipped with high-performance LiDAR and imagery sensors, each system integrates a gyro-stabilized mount. The stabilization minimizes distortion, enhances precision, and ensures evenly distributed data, resulting in accurate orthophotos, digital elevation models (DEMs), and LiDAR outputs. This setup maximizes efficiency and data quality, making it ideal for infrastructure monitoring, environmental assessments, and topographic surveys.
Helicopter
Helicopter platform enables low-altitude data collection with high throughput, making it ideal for large linear projects that require oblique imagery, high-resolution video, thermal imaging, and corona inspections. For powerline mapping projects, we often conduct LiDAR missions alongside simultaneous oblique image collection, gathering comprehensive data in a single flight. This integrated approach ensures efficient, high-quality outputs for power line mapping and vegetation management, reducing project time and costs while enhancing data driven insights.
UAS
UAS platforms provide a cost-effective alternative to helicopter operations, offering enhanced flexibility and efficiency for small-scale projects. These platforms support a wide range of payloads, including LiDAR, digital imagery, and thermal sensors, making them versatile tools for various geospatial applications.
Mobile
Mobile mapping utilizes close-range LiDAR sensors to deliver high-density, highly accurate data with high throughput, making it ideal for transportation mapping projects. This platform supports simultaneous LiDAR and imagery data collection, capturing both 3D geometry and visual details in real-time. Mobile mapping is particularly effective for road networks, railways, and power line mapping and urban infrastructure, as the equipment can be mounted on vehicles that move along transportation corridors. This approach ensures efficient and rapid data acquisition over large areas without interrupting traffic or operations. The combination of LiDAR and imagery allows for comprehensive assessments, including asset inventories, surface analysis, and condition monitoring, facilitating informed decision-making for infrastructure planning and maintenance.
Vessel
Vessel-based mapping operations support a wide range of topographic and hydrographic applications, providing comprehensive data for both above and below water surfaces. These platforms are equipped with advanced sonar sensors for precise underwater mapping, which are often combined with topographic LiDAR sensors for capturing detailed above-water features such as coastlines, bridges, and other structures.
3D Static LiDAR
3D static scanning - this tool offers high accuracy and high level of details and ideal for small-scale projects requiring high accuracy. Static scanning can be coupled with various camera sensors such as RGB camera, thermal camera and hyper spectral cameras. Ground based mapping can be used for no-fly zones or areas and application such as DAM monitoring where highest level of precision is required.
